Visit to YAKULT factory in Seremban

Visited Yakult for another lab of Food Safety related to Nutrition course.
Just for your information...
Yakult present worldwide in 32 countries since establishment in year 1995 and marketed in Malaysia since year 2004 while headquarter is located in Japan.
This is the interesting part...
The initial purpose of research on probiotic was to provide abundant foods during the outbreak of famine after World War 2 and the idea was born from Russian scientist as nomad population could live longer than 100 years by consuming sour milk. Hence, shirota strain was found and it is referred as probiotics. Probiotics are foods containing beneficial living microorganisms which we consume to benefit our health by improving the balance of our intestinal flora.

The factory in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan.

Process of producing Yakult. They import Shirota strains and straws from Japan.

Different packaging in different countries.

Different products of Yakult company in worldwide.

All sorts of drinks.

Cosmetic products.

VERY old packaging of Yakult.

Lastly, photo session with housemates =)
