Sekinchan and K. Selangor Trip

Frankly, the first time I heard about how people love to take photos in Sekinchan, how beautiful is the paddy field etc. I was like :O ???
Please forgive me for this unpleasant response lol the reason I was giving a "like I care" face simply because....I AM FROM PENANG/KEDAH.

Paddy field is commonly seen there, I passed by paddy field very often from Butterworth to Lunas. As you know, Kedah is known as "Rice Bowl of Malaysia". Sorry I'm not boasting about how beautiful is the paddy field in Kedah. JUST THAT NOBODY GIVES A SH*T ON THAT. It's like "Yeah, paddy field. So...?" Nobody ever think about photo-shooting or capture tonnes and tonnes of photos playing and jumping around paddy field. So I think MARKETING is all we need in this modern era LOL and another thing is there's no other paddy fields in Selangor maybe?

Another story is about rubber tree. One random day back in my secondary school time, I drove home from school and passed by the estate next to my residential area. Coincidentally, I saw a Caucasian hugging.. YES HUGGING the RUBBER TREE and smiled at the camera :O So I told my dad that I found that very funny because rubber trees are all over there.. so common to us that sometimes we totally ignore their existence. So my dad replied, "just like maybe one day you'll go to Europe, randomly pass by an apple tree.. you're so excited. Maybe you'll hug the tree and take photo. Then the Caucasians will laugh at you." Yes, that's true, I bet I'll do that.

SO.....back to the topic. Last week, my friends organized a trip to Sekinchan and K. Selangor, so I tagged along. Actually that was a very bad timing because the paddy fields were harvested and BURNED! The sky in Sekinchan was extremely hazy and the smoke emitted from the paddy fields with an unpleasant smell. We didn't give up on the paddy field and tried to search the unharvested paddy field. Feel so upset....BUT.. WE FOUND THIS! THE STRAW BALES! SO CUTE :))

Our Sekinchan trip didn't end there. Luckily, a kind uncle showed us the way to the gold-coloured paddy fields which were yet to be harvested :D

And.. can't believe that I was running, jumping and playing around paddy field. I betrayed the paddy fields in Kedah! LOL This was the first time I stand so near to the paddy field.. and curi-curi pluck the paddy..
We also stopped over at the beach and firefly park :))

I was amazed by the view of countless fireflies on the trees! Just like the decors on Christmas tree :) So bright! My friend even thought they put faked LED until we saw the flying fireflies when the boat went very near to the trees.. then only she believed they're fireflies :) The moon was extremely bright and beautiful on that night, so the tour guide told us that the fireflies would be more pretty and obvious without the moonlight. Actually, there was a long time I didn't see firefly. When I first moved to Kulim from Penang, there was a forest behind my house. Sometimes I could see firefly in the forest... slowly.. the dotted light twinkling through the trees at night. Occasionally, a firefly would lost its way and entered my room, and I could see the "LED light" on and off for the whole night :) Last year, the forest was chopped down to build houses, so can't see any of them anymore :'(

One day close to nature :) definitely made my day and carved a smile on my face.

It's good thing that you guys dont get to see a real paddy field so that makes your photoshoot different from others especially those with the straw bales, got the ang moh feel! :P I wanna see fireflies tooooo, maybe should plan a trip there with my classmates too. Got entrance fee ah?
